The 14th edition of the biannual International Conference on Low Vision and Rehabilitation (VISION 2023) has welcomed OptiVisT with open arms! Situated in Denver, Colorado, it featured four days of intensive learning and exchange. Between 118 presentations and 65 posters, there was enough opportunity to meet vision researchers, clinicians and patient representatives from every continent (apart from Antarctica). Next to a festive dinner, the program included a visit at the Anchor Center for Blind Children. OptiVisT was represented in form of a panel on "Functional Vision across the Life Span" and individual presentations. Over the course of the conference, attendees were able to learn about research that involves four different Optivist projects, from alternative perimetry methods (ESR1, presented by Henning Schulte) and grasping assistance for the blind (ESR10, presented by Piper Powell) to the work on paralympic athletes (ESR12, presented by David Mann) and in children with brain tumors (ESR15, presented by Henning Schulte). Visio OptiVisT Vision 2023 in Denver was truly a major success!
